Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 new stores this week, covering various locations from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, the Co-op will be the inaugural permanent retailer at the newly developed Brent Cross Town in London.
The upcoming store openings consist of a mix of fresh outlets, franchise-run stores, and revamped locations. This initiative is part of the retailer’s plan to invest in over 200 new and revamped stores by 2024/25.
These new additions are part of the 50 stores that Co-op recently confirmed will open in November and December, just in time for the festive season. The Co-op is advocating for business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget to support its growth strategies.
Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, emphasized the brand’s commitment to establishing local stores that serve as community hubs. The Co-op aims to boost local economies, create jobs, and support British producers.
In a bid to enhance member benefits, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, and exclusive deals for its membership scheme. Members stand to save up to £90 across October, November, and December through various rewards and promotions.
Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, highlighted the brand’s dedication to providing exceptional value to its members through tailored offers and incentives. By expanding access to discounts and in-app features, Co-op aims to ensure that members benefit from significant savings on their favorite products.
The Co-op’s efforts to expand its store network and enhance member benefits align with its vision to deliver value and rewards to its loyal customer base.
