Luke Littler has jokingly mentioned that he might entertain the idea of participating in the I’m a Celebrity jungle if a substantial sum of £50 million was on offer, despite being deterred by this year’s show. The 18-year-old darts prodigy has been closely following the current season to support his friend, Angry Ginge, who is a contestant. Speculation arose about Littler potentially joining the show following Angry Ginge’s involvement, with Littler indicating his willingness if the financial incentive was right.
“I might consider it for the right price. I could go for a short stint,” Littler commented recently when asked about the possibility of following in Angry Ginge’s footsteps. However, he has elaborated on the specific amount that would constitute the “right price” and now seems less enthusiastic about joining Ant and Dec in the jungle.
During an interview on talkSPORT, Littler expressed, “I previously mentioned I would go in if the offer was lucrative, but after witnessing the challenges, I’ve had a change of heart. It’s just not something I could do.” When questioned if he would reconsider for £10 million, he declined. But when the interviewer proposed a hefty £50 million, Littler shifted his response to a hesitant “maybe.”
“I have reservations about dealing with snakes and similar challenges,” he added, explaining his reluctance further. He humorously remarked, “Who knows, maybe I’ll surprise everyone and show up… Nah, just kidding!”
While Angry Ginge prepares for his upcoming trial, Littler is gearing up to defend his title at the PDC World Darts Championship, commencing at Ally Pally next month. The reigning world champion, who clinched the title last year as the youngest in darts history, now holds the top spot globally in the sport. Littler aims to follow in Gary Anderson’s footsteps by attempting to retain the Sid Waddell trophy, a feat not accomplished in a decade, starting with a first-round match against Darius Labanauskas on December 11.
