A 70-year-old woman tragically passed away following a ride on a rollercoaster at a theme park. The incident occurred on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Orlando, Florida, according to recently released records.

The woman was discovered unresponsive after the high-speed ride came to a halt and was immediately taken to the hospital on November 25, where unfortunately she could not be revived. While the cause of her death was not disclosed, the park reported eight other incidents of injuries or medical episodes between October and December, including visitors experiencing chest pains, nausea, and back discomfort.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the incident were not provided in the report, which stated that the information collected was based on initial incident reports due to privacy considerations. The Revenge of the Mummy ride, known for its top speed of 45 mph and features like sudden stops, backward movements, and a 39-foot drop, has been associated with multiple injuries since its opening in 2004, totaling 21 reported incidents.

Although a Universal spokesperson declined to comment on pending claims, it remains uncertain if any legal actions have been taken against the park. Additionally, the Orlando Police Department confirmed that no formal death investigation has been initiated, while the Orlando Fire Department had no immediate details regarding the incident.

In a separate incident last year, a teenager sustained injuries on a theme park ride when he was ejected from his seat during a 360-degree swing attraction. Witnesses observed the 13-year-old falling from his seat, landing with impact on the ground and suffering a broken leg and two fractured fingers. The Pendulum swing ride was in motion, swinging upside down as designed, but the boy lost his grip and fell as the ride reversed direction.

After falling from a height of approximately one-and-a-half to two meters, the teenager was promptly transported to a hospital, where it was determined that he had sustained three bone fractures at Jatim Park in Indonesia.
