A tragic incident in Colombia claimed the lives of six individuals, including popular singer Yeison Jimenez and his music group, as their plane crashed and caught fire. The group was en route to a concert scheduled for the previous night when the light aircraft went down shortly after departing from Paipa Airport in Colombia’s Tundama Province, failing to gain altitude.
Distressing footage shared online captured onlookers shouting warnings as the plane approached the end of the runway before crashing in flames. The victims of the crash included the pilot, co-pilot, and four passengers, among whom was 34-year-old musician Yeison Jimenez, known for his performances around the world.
Yeison Jimenez had shared a poignant message on Instagram before boarding the ill-fated flight, emphasizing humility in the face of life’s uncertainties. The singer’s photographer, Weisman Mora, who had documented their journey in a final video, also perished in the crash.
The aircraft was en route to Medellin, where Yeison was scheduled to perform, but tragedy struck just after 4 pm local time. Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the fatalities and identified all six occupants of the aircraft, including the renowned artist Yeison Jimenez.
Yeison Jimenez, a talented singer-songwriter, had previously mentioned in an interview his recurring dreams of a fatal air accident. The singer had spoken about vivid dreams indicating an impending disaster, which eerily aligned with the tragic event.
In addition to Yeison Jimenez and his photographer, the crash claimed the lives of pilot Hernando Torres, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Oscar Marin, and Jefferson Osorio. The plane involved in the accident reportedly belonged to Yeison’s company YJ Company SAS.
Family members, including Jimenez’s daughter Camila, expressed deep sorrow over the loss on social media. Fans also mourned the tragic event, paying tribute to Yeison Jimenez as a talented artist and devoted father. The community was shaken by the untimely loss of a beloved figure in the music industry.
