Samsung has unveiled a lineup of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra model. This innovative feature, once activated, ensures that onlookers cannot view the screen unless directly in front of it, providing enhanced privacy for users in public settings.

The introduction of the built-in Privacy Display marks a significant advancement in display technology within the mobile industry, as Samsung claims. By manipulating pixel light dispersion, the display maintains clear and bright content for the user while limiting visibility to others.

Aside from the Privacy Display, the S26 Ultra boasts a sleeker design, improved processing speed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, extended battery life, and rapid charging capabilities. The device also features an upgraded quad rear camera for better low-light photography and enhanced video stabilization for smoother recordings.

Moreover, the S26 Ultra includes an S Pen for convenient note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. Joining the Ultra model are the standard S26 and the larger S26 Plus, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.

Samsung has enhanced the smart features of its new smartphones with a Galaxy AI upgrade, introducing functions like Now Nudge, which provides relevant suggestions to users to help them stay focused. These upgrades aim to offer a more intuitive and seamless user experience.

While these new features are promising, Samsung has also increased the prices of its smartphones this year. The UK pricing for the Galaxy S26 range is as follows:

– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699

All models are set to hit stores next month, offering consumers a range of options with advanced features and enhanced privacy controls.
