Sky TV customers are in for a treat as some have recently received a complimentary upgrade that grants them access to the Disney+ subscription service at no extra cost. This generous addition is part of the newly revamped Sky Ultimate plan, allowing existing subscribers to enjoy a plethora of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel content without any additional charges.
The enhanced package doesn’t stop at Disney+, with Sky set to introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its offerings in the near future. Moreover, the integration of Disney+ content across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms means a seamless viewing experience for subscribers, with features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control.
Sky Cinema subscribers will also benefit from a new dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For those not yet with Sky, the new Sky Ultimate package is open to all UK households starting at £24 per month. This comprehensive plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Hayu, and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, hailed the update as a significant stride forward, combining Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. She emphasized the aim of creating a more integrated viewing experience to facilitate seamless transitions between favorite shows.
Existing customers will gain access to the expanded lineup at no extra cost, while NOW Entertainment users will receive HBO Max within the app without additional charges. Sky’s overarching goal is to streamline streaming services and provide viewers with a more cohesive and user-friendly viewing experience.
