As winter approaches, individuals may qualify for £25 payments through the Cold Weather Payment program when temperatures plummet.
The Cold Weather Payments for the year 2025/26 have recently commenced, offering £25 for each period when the temperature in your area remains at or below zero degrees for seven consecutive days.
It is possible to receive multiple Cold Weather Payments if there are repeated spells of freezing weather during the winter season. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) administers the distribution of these payments.
To be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment, individuals must be receiving specific benefits, which include Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
