If eligible, the payment will be automatically deposited into your bank account within 14 working days. Exceptions include having a baby or welcoming a child under five into your household, which require a separate application.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) administers Cold Weather Payments, with the scheme set to operate until March 31, 2026.
Notably, Cold Weather Payments are not applicable in Scotland, as they have been substituted by the Winter Heating Payment valued at £59.75.
