Discussing Sam’s upcoming surgery further, Pete hinted at Sam’s interest in pursuing a music career and the necessity of the vocal cord procedure for this purpose. Sam clarified the situation by explaining that he has a cyst on his vocal cords that needs to be removed, leading to a three-day period of vocal rest post-surgery.
According to the NHS, vocal cord nodules are benign growths that develop on the edges of the vocal cords due to prolonged and excessive vocal strain. It is uncertain whether Sam’s new girlfriend will accompany him during the procedure, as he recently shared their relationship update on the podcast.
