Upon her parents’ identification of her body, they witnessed numerous young individuals who had been similarly killed. The death toll from the recent crackdown on nationwide protests in Iran has risen to at least 538 people, with over 10,600 individuals detained, according to the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency. Among the casualties, 490 are protesters, and 48 are security personnel, with concerns that the numbers may continue to increase.
