Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence in Texas for sex trafficking, has been revealed to have corresponded via email with an individual believed to be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, signing off as “A”. The communication, dated March 31, 2002, saw Maxwell affectionately referring to the recipient as “sweet pea” and expressing her sorrow over the passing of the Queen mother.
In the email exchange, Maxwell conveyed her sentiments, stating, “Sweat pea – sorry you had to rush home, and also under such sad circumstances.” She reflected on the Queen mother’s life, emphasizing her admiration for the late royal figure. The dialogue continued with a response from the recipient, known as “The Invisible Man,” expressing regret for missing Maxwell’s call and promising to connect later.
These revelations are part of over three million documents released by the US Department of Justice concerning the notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell in Manhattan in August 2019. Maxwell’s association with Epstein and Prince Andrew has come under scrutiny, with previous photos depicting their interactions surfacing in recent disclosures.
Despite being featured in controversial images, including one where Prince Andrew is seen with multiple women while Maxwell observes, it is important to note that mere inclusion in these visuals does not equate to wrongdoing. Prince Andrew has consistently denied any allegations linking him to Epstein’s illicit activities, including the accusations made by Virginia Giuffre.
The latest disclosure includes another email from “The Invisible Man,” inquiring about the recipient’s potential expansion of their family and playfully referring to them as “super sperm”. The email, titled “Re: AKE in New York,” reveals an informal and light-hearted exchange between the two parties.
Prince Andrew, who renounced his royal duties in 2019, has faced ongoing legal battles surrounding his connection to Epstein. Despite settling a civil sexual assault claim with Ms Giuffre, whom he denies ever meeting, Andrew continues to deny any involvement in the scandal. In a recent development, the King officially stripped Prince Andrew of his HRH style and prince title in November 2025.
