Some Taylor Swift tracks have been taken down from social media videos shared by the Trump campaign and the White House, which featured two of the singer’s songs in the past week.

Both the White House and a representative for Swift did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

Swift has not publicly addressed Trump recently, but she did endorse his Democratic opponent, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, in the 2024 election. During the 2020 campaign, Swift expressed her firm stance against Trump, stating on social media that he was unwanted as the president.

Trump has consistently criticized Swift. After her endorsement of Harris, the Republican leader expressed his disdain for Swift on social platforms, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” He also made comments suggesting that Swift’s popularity had diminished since he voiced his disapproval.

Numerous artists, including Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have demanded that the Trump administration refrain from using their music.

The Trump campaign featured two of Swift’s songs on its TikTok page over the past week. One video referenced Swift’s famous songs, such as “Red (Donald Trump’s Version),” playing on her lyrics.

In a June video on TikTok, the campaign used Swift’s new song “I Knew It, I Knew You” from “Toy Story 5,” with the caption praising President Donald J. Trump’s love for the country and its people. This marked the third occasion where the Trump administration utilized Swift’s songs in recent months.

Earlier in April, the White House shared a video featuring Swift’s “High Infidelity” and lyrics from the song “Do you really want to know where I was April 29th?” In November, another TikTok video showcased Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” from the album “The Life of a Showgirl,” along with various images related to Trump.

These posts have generated significant reactions on social media, prompting a White House spokesperson to explain that the videos were strategically created to gain media attention.

The Trump communications team, known for its active social media presence, has shared numerous popular songs with visuals depicting various events, including immigration policies, military actions against Iran, and the arrest of former Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro.
