A new TV judge has entered the scene, facing the challenge of living up to his famous mother’s legacy. CBS Media Ventures unveiled a trailer for “Adam’s Law,” a fresh daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the son of the renowned Judge Judy.

Fans of Judge Judy’s signature sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude are in for a treat as the trailer showcases Levy displaying similar courtroom energy. Levy, known for his quick-witted and cutting remarks, seems to be following in his mother’s footsteps with pride.

Interestingly, Judge Judy initially had reservations about passing on the gavel to her son. In the trailer, she humorously admits that she would not have encouraged him to take on the show years ago because she wasn’t ready to relinquish her position and believed he had the talent to surpass her, which she found unsettling.

The upcoming series, executive produced by Judge Judy herself, is scheduled to debut on September 14. This launch comes five years after the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” show, which enjoyed a successful 25-season run on CBS, dominating as the top first-run syndicated program with an average of 10 million viewers per episode.

Viewers can expect the same level of excitement and commitment to justice from “Adam’s Law” that made Judge Judy a household name. With over 25 years of legal expertise, including terms as a district attorney and experience in legal education, Levy emphasizes the importance of honesty in his courtroom.

Judge Judy is confident that her son has what it takes to carry on the family legacy and predicts that his show will become the top daytime program. She praises his entertaining personality, legal knowledge, and exceptional recall, expressing certainty that viewers will embrace him just as they have embraced her for three decades.

Levy’s familiarity with courtroom reality TV from his previous roles in shows like “Tribunal Justice” and “Justice on Trial” on Prime Video adds to his credentials. “Adam’s Law” is set to air on various CBS-owned stations across the U.S., including CBS LA and WCBS-TV, with Canadian viewers able to catch it on Citytv and Citytv+ starting September 14.
