Nicola Golen’s goal in the second minute of extra time secured a 2-2 draw for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto on Sunday at TD Place. This crucial strike came in the 92nd minute, adding a valuable point to the Rapid’s top position in the league standings.

Melanie Forbes also found the back of the net for Ottawa (10-2-3) in the 13th minute, while Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky scored for third-place Toronto (7-4-4). The game took a dramatic turn in the 63rd minute when both teams were reduced to 10 players following red cards shown to Choo Hyojoo of the Rapid and Cloey Uddenberg of AFC Toronto.

In a separate announcement, TD Place in Ottawa was revealed as the selected venue for the upcoming Northern Super League final scheduled for November 14.
