Apple has just concluded its annual event, confirming the speculations. The highlight of the show is the newly unveiled iPhone Air, a remarkably slim smartphone measuring only 5.6mm thick, surpassing Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge by a slight margin at 5.8mm.

Designed for those seeking a sleek device, the Air promises an exceptional user experience despite its ultra-thin profile. Boasting a sizable 6.5-inch display with Super Retina XDR technology and ProMotion for smooth scrolling, it caters to various digital needs efficiently.

The device features a robust build to withstand pressure, incorporating a Titanium frame and the latest Ceramic Shield 2 glass, touted as Apple’s strongest glass yet. Powering the Air is the high-performance A19 Pro processor, ensuring seamless operation for demanding tasks.

Apple highlights the A19 Pro’s enhanced 6-core CPU for improved performance and efficiency in daily activities, claiming it as the fastest CPU in any smartphone. The device is also equipped with Apple Intelligence compatibility, enabling features like email management, photo editing, and digital organization.

Additionally, the iPhone Air introduces the N1 wireless networking chip, facilitating Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity enhancements. Notably, it sports a single-lens rear camera and a smaller battery compared to other iPhone models, emphasizing efficiency and battery-saving capabilities for prolonged daily use.

Apple assures users of extended battery life with all-day usage, complemented by an optional battery pack accessory for extended power needs. The device supports MagSafe technology for convenient charging, aligning with Apple’s recent product offerings.

John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, praises the iPhone Air’s innovative design and performance capabilities, emphasizing the device’s advanced features and futuristic appeal within the iPhone lineup. In addition to the Air, Apple introduces the new iPhone 17 with enhanced screen quality, improved cameras, and durability, powered by the A19 chip.

The iPhone Air is priced at £999, while the iPhone 17 comes at £799, offering consumers a choice based on features and budget preferences.
