Nigel Farage has affirmed his intentions to detain and repatriate migrant women back to Afghanistan if he wins the election.
The leader of Reform UK stated that he plans to deport women arriving in Britain via small boats as part of his stringent mass deportation strategy. He mentioned that children might be handled differently due to the need for a duty of care, but noted that very few children arrive on small boats, making it somewhat irrelevant.
In a recent interview at Reform’s annual conference in Birmingham, Mr. Farage reiterated his stance on detaining and deporting individuals, including both men and women who cross the English Channel. When asked if he would send them to Afghanistan if necessary, he responded affirmatively, citing the current crisis in the country.
Mr. Farage had previously unveiled a proposal to deport approximately 600,000 asylum seekers within five years, with an estimated cost of £10 billion according to his party. Despite criticism and comparisons to other costly plans, Mr. Farage maintained that he has been clear and consistent on the issue, emphasizing his zero-tolerance policy towards illegal immigration.
During a speech at London Oxford Airport, Mr. Farage reiterated his stance that individuals entering the UK illegally will face detention and deportation without the possibility of staying in the country.
