Google has issued a crucial alert for Chrome users, urging them to update their browsers immediately. The tech giant has released a new version of its web software to address four critical bugs, one of which has been classified as a zero-day vulnerability. This means that cybercriminals are already exploiting the flaw.

According to Google’s latest release notes, the company is aware of the existence of an exploit for CVE-2025-10585 in the wild. While specific details about the issue and its impact remain undisclosed, Google’s Threat Analysis Group reported the vulnerability earlier this month.

To ensure your browser is safeguarded, users should verify they are running the latest Chrome version. By accessing the Google Chrome menu and selecting “About Chrome,” users can confirm if they have version 140.0.7339.185/.186 for Windows/Mac or 140.0.7339.185 for Linux. If an older version is detected, a prompt restart is recommended to apply the necessary fixes.

Google assures that the updated version will be rolled out across all browsers in the coming days or weeks. Keeping browsers up to date is crucial to prevent potential security breaches and ensure a safe online experience.
