British Superbike rider Callum Grigor, hailing from Wishaw, Scotland, has been placed in a medically induced coma following a harrowing crash at Donington Park. Grigor, aged 27, is currently in a serious condition after the incident during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship race on Saturday.

The crash occurred as Grigor was approaching Goddards Corner when he was ejected from his bike and collided with fellow rider Nathan Harrison from the Isle of Man. Immediate medical attention was provided on the track before Grigor was placed in an induced coma and swiftly transported to the hospital.

A statement released by British Superbike regarding the incident stated that Grigor crashed on the opening lap of the race at Donington Park, colliding with Harrison at Goddards Corner. The race was stopped, and both riders received medical attention from the BSB Medical Team. Grigor’s condition was deemed serious, necessitating prompt intervention, including the induced coma.

Harrison, on the other hand, was treated for an isolated limb injury at the circuit’s medical center before being transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for further assessment and care.

Following the crash, messages of support flooded social media platforms, with fans expressing concern and sending well-wishes to both Nathan Harrison and Callum Grigor.
