On the second day of President Donald Trump and the First Lady’s official visit, the Princess of Wales is scheduled to have a private meeting with Melania. The meeting will take place at Frogmore Gardens, a 33-acre estate located within Windsor Castle. During this encounter, Kate and Melania will engage in a special mission, meeting with Dwayne Fields, the Chief Scout of the Scouts Association, an organization that Kate actively supports.
Together, Kate and Melania will interact with participants of the Scouts’ Squirrels program to understand how children can achieve nature-related badges within the initiative.
Yesterday, the Trumps arrived at Windsor Castle where they were warmly welcomed by William and Kate before proceeding to meet the King and Queen. They later participated in a carriage procession alongside the royals, escorted by the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, towards the castle.
In the evening, the King hosted a grand State Banquet in St George’s Hall in honor of the President and First Lady. During his speech, the King emphasized the enduring bond between the two nations, highlighting the strong friendship and special relationship that has enhanced their safety and strength over the years.
President Trump expressed his deep honor at the visit, praising the King and the UK, marveling at the King’s ability to recall the names of all individuals he had greeted that day, even those with challenging names like ‘XYZ-Q3’.
Gift exchanges took place between the royal hosts and the Trumps, with notable items being a bespoke leather book commemorating the Declaration of Independence’s 250th anniversary presented to the President, and a Union flag flown at Buckingham Palace during his inauguration given to Trump. Melania received a unique silver and enamel bowl crafted by artist Cara Murphy, along with a personalized bag from Anya Hindmarch.
As a joint gift, the royal couple received a silver frame bearing their joint cypher, while the Trumps presented the King with a replica of President Eisenhower’s Sword and chose a vintage 18K gold brooch from Tiffany & Co for Camilla.
