A seven-year-old boy who initially reported a stomach ache has tragically passed away from cancer, two years after his first complaint. Feliks Jama sought medical help in 2023 for his stomach pains, leading to the discovery of an 8cm tumor on his kidney, as well as additional tumors in his lungs and abdomen. Following a series of treatments, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the tumors were removed surgically.
Despite initial progress, some tumors reappeared, prompting Feliks to undergo further treatment at a local hospital in Dolsk, Poland. Unfortunately, in November last year, a relapse of Wilms’ tumor, a form of kidney cancer, was diagnosed. His parents sought treatment in Germany but returned to Poland after unsuccessful attempts. Tragically, Feliks passed away on September 14.
A spokesperson from the A Piece of Heaven Foundation expressed deep sorrow over Feliks’ passing, describing him as a cherished soul now resting in peace. The foundation sought prayers and support for the grieving parents during this challenging period.
Earlier this year, the foundation launched a crowdfunding campaign to assist Feliks’ family with medical costs abroad, rehabilitation, and consultations. Over 11,000 individuals rallied behind the cause, raising over £220,000.
The family’s crowdfunding plea highlighted their emotional turmoil, detailing the shock of discovering the tumors and the ongoing battle with the disease. Their world was shattered by the heartbreaking news and the subsequent challenges they faced in Feliks’ treatment journey.
