Dell has made a significant decision to reintroduce its popular XPS brand after facing backlash for discontinuing it a year ago. The tech company acknowledged its mistake and listened to feedback from reviewers and customers, leading to the revival of the XPS laptops with a promise of an enhanced experience.

The revamped Windows 11 laptops boast a fresh design, featuring premium materials like aluminum and Gorilla Glass 3 for durability and a sophisticated look. The redesigned keyboard offers improved stability to prevent accidental key presses, and the glass touchpad seamlessly blends into the palm rest. In terms of portability, Dell has reduced the weight and thickness of the laptops.

The new XPS 14 and XPS 16 are now Dell’s slimmest laptops to date, measuring only 14.6mm in thickness. The inclusion of a reengineered 4K webcam contributes to the slim profile. Performance has been upgraded with Intel’s latest Ultra processors, ensuring faster speeds, better graphics performance, and increased efficiency. The laptops feature a redesigned thermal system to manage temperatures effectively, even during intensive tasks.

Intel Arc graphics with 12 cores offer a 50% improvement in graphics performance compared to the previous generation. The laptops are equipped with high-density 900ED cells, delivering up to 27 hours of battery life on a single charge, enabling prolonged use of the vivid displays.

Other notable features include edge-to-edge touch displays, powerful Dolby Atmos speakers, and a variety of ports for connectivity. Dell announced the launch of the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 at CES 2026, emphasizing their premium design, powerful performance, stunning displays, and exceptional battery life in compact and portable devices.
