Freeview households have recently received an exciting entertainment upgrade with the launch of a new channel previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. TLC, offering reality shows, comedy, and movies, is now available for Freeview viewers. Known for popular series such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, TLC is expanding its content with sitcoms and blockbuster films.
Freeview users can now enjoy hit shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster movies like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. To access TLC on channel 12, some households may need to retune their TVs.
In line with the channel update, Quest will relocate from Ch12 to Ch17 to accommodate TLC, and Really will move from Ch17 to Ch44. However, not all changes are positive as Freeview has announced the closure of HGTV, leading to the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska. Other channels shutting down include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
The new channel lineup includes TLC on Ch12 and TLC+1 on Ch99. Quest moves to Ch17, and Really shifts to Ch44. The channels being closed are HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
