Barry Manilow, the renowned musician at 82, has encouraged his fans to bid farewell following his recent battle with lung cancer. He disclosed his diagnosis last month, leading to surgery to address the issue. Initially, he had to postpone live performances for his tour, “The Last Last Concert,” to undergo the necessary medical procedure and recovery. However, his management team now confirms his swift return to the stage by adding six new concert dates to his schedule.

Announced on Instagram, Barry’s team shared the exciting news of his improved health and the additional performances. Fans were thrilled, although some expressed concerns about the timing of his return post-surgery. Despite mixed reactions, many supporters were elated with Barry’s resilience and progress towards recovery.

Barry’s journey began with a period of ill health, including bronchitis, which eventually led to the discovery of a cancerous spot on his lung. Fortunately, the cancer was detected early, requiring surgery without the need for chemotherapy or radiation. Barry expressed his regret about rescheduling his January arena concerts but emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health for a full recovery.

The Last Last Concerts Tour, set to commence in February in Tampa, Florida, and conclude in London in June, promises to be a triumphant return for Barry. His positive outlook and determination to overcome health challenges have inspired fans worldwide.
