Southan, 27, took to Instagram to recount the incident, revealing that a masked individual tried to snatch his phone but ended up fleeing with only an empty box.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Southan narrated how the incident unfolded at an O2 store while he was in the process of upgrading his phone. He expressed amusement at the thief’s futile attempt, stating, “I was doing the transfer from my old phone to the new phone in store, and this masked man came into the shop and grabbed the empty box that my new phone was in and he ran out.”
Describing the thief as a “s*** thief,” Southan shared his second-hand embarrassment for the unsuccessful perpetrator. He also mentioned another individual present who called the thief’s actions foolish, expressing a mix of amusement and disbelief at the botched theft.
