A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, faces charges related to an investigation involving the trafficking of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have accused him of exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiring to commit a serious offense. He recently appeared in a Kitchener court for a bail hearing.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service initiated the investigation in September 2025 after detaining a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge at Hong Kong International Airport. The woman had 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her possession. In a recent development, local law enforcement, along with various partners, apprehended a man from Markham, Ontario, believed to be linked to the drug network that allegedly assisted the Cambridge woman in traveling from Toronto to Hong Kong.

The investigation remains active and ongoing to uncover further details.
