Jamie Lee Arrow’s adolescent defiance was intertwined with a disturbing past. At a tender age of nine, she discovered the horrifying truth that her father had murdered and consumed his own partner.
Isakin Drabbad, Jamie’s father, parted ways with her mother when she was just a toddler. Despite the separation, Jamie maintained a connection with him and grew close to his new companion, Helle Christensen, who assumed a maternal role in Jamie’s life.
However, the relationship between Helle and Isakin was marred by toxicity and violence, leading to numerous distressing altercations witnessed by Jamie during her childhood. In a chilling incident, Helle served Jamie a meal and ominously declared, “Enjoy your meal… this is the last time I’ll ever cook for you, because Isakin is going to kill me.”
Tragically, Helle’s ominous prediction materialized. In November 2010, Drabbad, identifying as a Satanist, viciously murdered Helle by slashing her throat, decapitating her, and consuming parts of her body.
In a recent emotional interview with LadBible, Jamie recounted how her mother shielded her from the dreadful reality of her father’s actions, stating: “My life as I knew it didn’t exist anymore.”
Describing the restrictions imposed on her, Jamie shared, “I wasn’t allowed to watch TV, listen to the radio, go to shops, or attend school for a month. The curtains remained drawn to prevent prying neighbors from peeking in.”
As Drabbad’s trial unfolded, his case captured national attention. Reports detailed how, following Helle’s murder, Drabbad used the same weapon to disrobe her lifeless body.
Armed with a knife, saw, and axe, the perpetrator dismembered Helle’s corpse, extracting flesh from her limbs which he cooked with cannabis leaves. Shockingly, he even planned to consume Helle’s head.
Despite Drabbad’s conviction and confinement in a secure mental facility, he remained in the public eye. While at Karsudden Regional Hospital, he engaged in a relationship with another patient, infamous “Vampire killer” Michelle Gustafsson.
Drabbad launched a blog where he addressed inquiries from the public about his crimes. In one post, he callously stated, “Most people claim they would never take a life, but once you do, it becomes insignificant.”
In a video shared on YouTube, the killer expressed disdain for humanity, affirming, “I view myself as anti-human. There is nothing about humans that I appreciate. The only historical figures I admire are the Vikings, Spartans, and similar individuals.”
Further, Drabbad established an online store selling handcrafted voodoo dolls, each signed with his blood and labeled “They call me Skara Cannibal.”
Upon visiting her father in prison, Jamie received one of these voodoo dolls from Drabbad, who asserted it could harm those who had bullied her.
The stigma attached to her father’s heinous acts led Jamie to endure torment at school, being labeled “the cannibal’s daughter.” This ostracization plunged her into a dark path of substance abuse and alienation.
Despite her attempts to connect with her father and express forgiveness, Jamie’s communication with Drabbad was abruptly terminated after he sent her a disturbing message threatening her and her family.
While devastated by the message, Jamie found closure in realizing the depth of her father’s depravity. She emphasized the importance of shielding her children from any similar darkness she had faced.
Today, Jamie’s primary focus is safeguarding her children from the traumatic experiences she underwent in her upbringing.
