Selena Gomez, a well-known singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors alleging fraud for not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors, who put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a company launched in 2021 to enhance mental fitness, claim that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, was expected to play a significant role in the company as the head of marketing. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives did not meet their commitments, including the failure to create a promised mobile app.
According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, Gomez allegedly signed a contract but did not follow through with her responsibilities. The investors assert that the company did not fulfill even the most basic obligations, such as timely payments to employees and vendors. They claim that the venture was not viable and are seeking to recover their investments and legal expenses.
Despite the allegations, a representative for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comment. The investors reportedly became aware of the company’s issues through an online news report in September 2025. They are now pursuing legal action to rectify the situation and seek compensation for their losses.
