Jodie Marsh, once a well-known glamour model in the 2000s, has now transitioned to a more secluded lifestyle away from the public eye. The 47-year-old, famous for her bold fashion statements like using a belt as a bra, can now be seen tending to her Fripps Farm in wellies. Since its inception in 2020, Jodie has shifted her focus from red carpet events to dedicating her time to helping animals in need.
Despite her new life on the farm, Jodie faced a tragic incident as a fire broke out at her animal sanctuary, resulting in the loss of two marmosets over the weekend. Firefighters attended her farm in Essex following reports of the fire, which started on the first floor around 5 pm on Saturday. The fire was determined to be accidental and initiated by an electrical device.
Beyond the recent tragedy, Jodie’s upbringing mirrors her current life on the farm, having grown up in a lavish Tudor-style mansion near Brentwood, Essex, with her wealthy parents John and Kristina Marsh, who earned their wealth through a scaffolding business. Despite excelling academically and aspiring to become a vet or lawyer after achieving top grades in her exams, Jodie faced severe bullying in school due to physical attributes.
The bullying she endured led Jodie to pursue a career in modeling to defy her tormentors’ hurtful remarks about her appearance. Starting with her appearance on the reality show “Essex Wives” and working as a pole dancer at Stringfellows, Jodie’s journey to fame began, marked by her distinctive wardrobe choices and public disputes with other models.
Transitioning away from the entertainment industry, Jodie immersed herself in competitive bodybuilding before establishing Fripps Farm as an animal sanctuary in 2020. Reflecting on her unconventional path, Jodie expressed no regrets about not pursuing a traditional career, emphasizing her focus on enjoying life and making the most of her opportunities.
