A lightsaber featuring Luke Skywalker’s severed hand from the movie The Empire Strikes Back was recently auctioned off for a record-breaking $3.75 million US. This sale marked the highest price ever paid for a prop used in a Star Wars film, as reported by the auction house.

The upcoming Ultimate Star Wars Auction by Heritage Auctions on Nov. 12 will feature notable items, including the Darth Vader lightsaber used in the iconic Cloud City duel where he reveals to Skywalker, “I am your father.” This lightsaber, also seen in Return of the Jedi, is anticipated to sell for at least $1 million US. Over two dozen lightsaber props from Star Wars Episodes I to IX, along with props from other movies and TV shows within George Lucas’s universe, will be available for bidding.

Among the items up for auction are lightsabers wielded by Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, each expected to sell for a minimum of $10,000 US.

One of the highly valued items is an EE-3 carbine blaster used by Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back, with an estimated value of over $100,000 US.

Additional pieces available for auction include a Yoda puppet hand used by Frank Oz in the character’s debut in The Empire Strikes Back, actor Anthony Daniels’ signed third-draft screenplay for the original 1977 Star Wars, and a TIE Fighter pilot helmet from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
