Police have made an urgent plea regarding a 13-year-old schoolgirl who disappeared from a coastal town a day ago. The girl, identified as Lottie Brown from Netherton, Liverpool, was last sighted at 4 pm on Friday, September 5. Following her disappearance from Louis Pasteur Avenue, a significant search effort was initiated to locate her. Substantial investigative work was undertaken by the authorities to locate the missing teenager. Recently, the police have confirmed that Lottie has been located.
According to Merseyside Police, the girl was last seen sporting green leggings, a blue puffer jacket, and black trainers. Lottie is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slender build, possessing mid-length blonde hair and brown eyes.
Frequenting the Bootle and Seaforth regions, Lottie has been encouraged by the police to be reported if spotted by members of the public.
Expressing concern over the number of missing individuals facing neglect and harm, there is a call for a comprehensive government-led strategy involving the Home Office, Education, and Health departments to address this pressing issue. The absence of adequate support for missing persons upon their return has raised alarms, prompting the need for a national approach to address missing children and adults, offer proper support post-return, and allocate resources to prevent disappearances.
A petition has been initiated to propel action towards this cause, with the government mandated to respond at 10,000 signatures and parliamentary debate at 100,000 signatures. Interested individuals can contribute by signing the petition linked here.
