A mother, Charity Beallis, along with her six-year-old twins, was tragically found deceased in their home in Bonanza, Arkansas. Despite her family’s wishes, Charity was buried separately from her children due to her ex-husband’s custody of their remains.

The incident occurred during a welfare check on December 3, where Charity and her twin children were discovered shot dead. This grim discovery followed a contentious divorce battle with her ex-husband, Dr. Randall Beallis. The fatal outcome unfolded just a day after a divorce hearing where Charity was fighting for full custody.

Close to the crime scene, several of the family’s possessions, including framed photos, children’s artwork, and a gold necklace engraved with the twins’ names, were found in a dumpster three days later. Dr. Beallis, who had a history of domestic violence and a previous charge of third-degree battery for choking Charity, had been ordered to refrain from contacting her or her family without court authorization.

Subsequently, custody of the twins’ remains was transferred to Dr. Beallis, who had been granted joint custody of the children just before their tragic deaths. Charity’s body was entrusted to her eldest son, John Powell, who laid her to rest on December 29. John expressed deep dismay over the situation, describing it as “sickening” and expressing uncertainty about the twins’ final resting place.

Prior to her untimely death, Charity confided in her son about feeling fearful during the custody battle. In a public comment, she lamented being sidelined by those she sought help from, including a local prosecutor, stating that the system favored offenders over victims. She stressed the critical nature of the situation, highlighting the risk to lives, especially those of young children.

Dr. Beallis’s attorney maintained his client’s innocence, asserting that he was devastated by the deaths of Charity and their twins. The attorney emphasized Dr. Beallis’s cooperation with law enforcement and his support for the ongoing investigation by the Sebastian County Sheriff’s office. The circumstances surrounding the three deaths remain under scrutiny, with no official accusations against Dr. Beallis at this time.

Investigations into the tragic incident are ongoing, and Dr. Beallis has not been named as a suspect by the authorities. The situation continues to unfold as the community grapples with this heartbreaking loss.
