Prince Harry is set to visit the UK soon, but sources suggest he may not meet his father, King Charles, during his stay. The Duke of Sussex is traveling to London for his trial against the Daily Mail publisher on January 19. Expected to be the first witness, Harry will testify alongside other claimants like Baroness Lawrence and Sir Elton John.

Despite the trip, reports indicate that Harry does not plan to see Charles due to the trial schedule’s uncertainty. The Telegraph notes that Harry has not confirmed a specific day or time for a meeting with his father, as he awaits the trial timetable. Additionally, Harry has not booked his flights from California to London due to the trial’s unconfirmed dates.

It is likely that Harry’s visit will be brief since he has prior commitments in California. Charles is expected to be in Balmoral during Harry’s London trip, as he typically spends January in Scotland before resuming royal duties.

The last time Harry saw Charles was in September 2025 during a visit for the WellChild Awards. Their private tea at Clarence House marked their first meeting in 20 months, signaling a positive step towards reconciliation after years of estrangement. Since then, their relationship has improved, with reports suggesting they are now in regular contact.

In other news, King Charles is launching weddings and private functions at a new venue on his charity’s Scottish estate. Named The King’s Hall, the £6.5 million extension at Dumfries House will offer event space for up to 200 guests. The venue aims to host luxury weddings and private events, matching the estate’s historic architecture using locally-sourced materials.

Princess Kate may join King Charles and Prince William on a trip to the US to meet President Donald Trump. Discussions about the King’s stateside visit are ongoing, coinciding with the US declaration of independence’s 250th anniversary. Prince William is also expected to visit the US during the FIFA World Cup later in the year, potentially strengthening UK-US relations with Kate’s involvement.

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, has seen success despite online glitches. Although official sales figures are undisclosed, data revealed significant sales since the brand’s launch, including nearly a million jars of jam sold. Industry insiders suggest that the brand is thriving, contrary to speculation following the online glitch.

Regarding property matters, King Charles plans to strip his brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, of titles and royal privileges. Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have been persuaded to vacate the Royal Lodge. While initial plans suggested an early exit, delays are expected, with Andrew considering luxury housing options beyond the Royal Family’s offerings.

The King’s Foundation, under Charles’s patronage, is expanding its venue with The King’s Hall, aiming to host high-end events while promoting sustainability. Scheduled to open in 2027, the extension will support the foundation’s conservation efforts and community initiatives through event proceeds. Additionally, Sandringham Estate, Charles’s Norfolk residence, has adjusted its public access due to severe weather conditions.

Lastly, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice may not inherit Andrew’s lease on the Royal Lodge following his eviction. Andrew’s departure from the property, where he had a long-term lease, raises questions about the future ownership. The Crown Estate’s involvement and Andrew’s relocation to Sandringham Estate suggest a shift in the family’s property arrangements.
