Leanne Quigley, the winner of the show “Traitors,” recently shared her emotional journey of facing a terrifying moment when her newborn son fought for his life. The reality star, aged 30, and her partner Sophie welcomed twin boys prematurely, leading to life-threatening complications.

As a former member of the armed forces, Leanne triumphed in the previous season of “The Traitors” with Jake Brown. She recounted the distressing experience of her sons’ premature birth at 26 weeks, where they were born with their eyelids fused shut and their skin extremely delicate.

Following their birth, both Hudson and Harley were immediately moved to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Amidst the critical situation, Sophie, Leanne’s partner, developed a chest infection, preventing her from visiting the NICU for seven days.

Leanne found herself alone at the hospital, facing the harsh reality of her sons’ fragile health conditions. She vividly described the challenges they endured, including Harley’s dire condition that led to a moment of panic when his oxygen levels suddenly dropped.

As doctors battled to stabilize Harley, Leanne feared the worst and was deeply distressed by the situation. Despite the intense struggles, both Hudson and Harley defied expectations and survived, growing into healthy young boys. However, the memories of those initial days continue to haunt Leanne.

In a candid discussion on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Leanne expressed how the traumatic events at the hospital still affect her. Last November, she marked Prematurity Awareness Month with a heartfelt post on Instagram, reflecting on the strength she found during those trying times.

Leanne acknowledged the ongoing impact of the ordeal and extended support to other families facing similar challenges with premature babies. She remains grateful for the resilience shown by her sons, Hudson and Harley, and all premature babies, emphasizing the power of overcoming trauma and honoring their journey.
