Environment Canada has canceled a yellow severe weather alert following a storm that swept across parts of southern Alberta. The agency warned of potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, highlighted the risk of a severe thunderstorm capable of producing baseball-sized hail and causing destruction to buildings and trees.

A yellow thunderstorm watch remains in effect for a significant portion of the region extending from Claresholm to Hays and south towards the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are advised to visit the Environment Canada website.

If you have any photos or videos of the storm, you can share them by emailing calgaryphotos@cbc.ca.
