Sky has revealed changes to its TV channel lineup, and the modifications are set to take effect soon. Among the adjustments, two channels, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, are discontinuing their broadcasts as of Tuesday, February 24. However, to balance this loss, Sky is reintroducing the popular Sky One channel.
Launching tomorrow, Sky One will provide subscribers with a variety of engaging comedy and entertainment programs. Viewers can look forward to new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, in addition to fan favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted.
Moreover, Sky One will be the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, scheduled to premiere later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm about the channel’s revival, emphasizing its unique and vibrant content selection.
Sky One will debut on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24. Alongside this launch, Sky is introducing a new subscription plan called Ultimate TV for £24 per month. This plan offers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers will also gain access to over 130 premium channels like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime, along with a dedicated Disney movie channel for Sky Cinema users. This comprehensive package aims to enhance the viewing experience for Sky customers.
