Sky has revealed an exciting update that is bound to capture attention. The television provider is set to roll out a new subscription package that combines several popular streaming services at a reduced monthly rate. For just £24 a month, both new and current customers will soon have access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, slated for launch next month.
According to Sky, this bundled offer provides excellent value, with approximately £20 worth of streaming apps included for a lower price. Considering that Sky’s basic plan currently costs £15 monthly, the added content will be available for just an extra £9.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy more than 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and others.
Additionally, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the planner, enabling them to watch Disney blockbusters without accessing the Disney+ app separately.
Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can transfer their current plan, whether Standard or Premium, while retaining their profiles and viewing history.
Sky has confirmed that all supported apps will be easily accessible from the homepage, with integrated content. This allows users to find shows and movies through voice search and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be accessible on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized that this update signifies a “new era” for Sky and NOW, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. Customers can look forward to an integrated viewing experience and exceptional value, with HBO Max included at no additional charge for NOW Entertainment customers.
Sky’s focus on innovation continues with this move, aiming to simplify the premium entertainment experience for viewers in one convenient location.
