An educator described as “obsessed” has confessed to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old male student following the alleged exchange of approximately 25,000 text messages.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, a mother of two from New Jersey, has entered a plea of guilt to a charge of aggravated sexual assault, potentially leading to a prison term of up to 12 years.

According to police findings, the inappropriate relationship between Havemann-Niedrach and the teenager commenced in January 2024 and lasted until her arrest in June of the same year. Witness accounts from fellow staff members revealed instances of the teacher having lunch with the student daily, with one witness even observing her engaging in flirtatious physical contact with the boy.

The student’s sister witnessed him in the teacher’s vehicle before he disclosed the illicit relationship to his mother. Subsequent investigations discovered a trove of around 25,000 text messages, including images and videos, exchanged between the teacher and the student.

Prosecutors highlighted that the former teacher, whose LinkedIn profile portrays her as a dedicated and sincere educator, displayed an “obsession” with the alleged victim. The student reported that their encounters took place at the teacher’s residence and various hotels.

The sentencing is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with the prosecution advocating for a 12-year incarceration term and the revocation of her teaching credentials.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced, “A former teacher at Freehold Intermediate School has confessed to committing sexual offenses against a teenage student, as revealed by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago on Thursday.”

During a recent hearing before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley, 45-year-old Allison Havemann-Niedrach from Jackson Township pleaded guilty to first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.

An investigation conducted by the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and Freehold Borough Police Department indicated that Havemann-Niedrach’s criminal behavior commenced in January 2024 and persisted for about six months until her arrest in June 2024. A Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted the case in March 2025.

The sentencing hearing is tentatively set for May 7, 2026, during which the prosecution will push for a 12-year prison sentence, forfeiture of public position, surrender of teaching license, Parole Supervision for Life, and registration as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, with a requirement to serve 85 percent of the sentence before parole eligibility under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act (NERA).
