Brandon Flowers has announced that The Killers are currently working on new music. However, fans will need to exercise patience as the release of the new album is expected to take longer than initially anticipated.

The rock band, based in Las Vegas, achieved great success with their seventh album, “Pressure Measure,” which topped the UK charts in 2021. Following their last UK performances in August and September 2023, the band has now determined the timeline for their upcoming releases.

Frontman Brandon has expressed confidence that this forthcoming album will be their “best” work to date. Nonetheless, fans will have to wait as he intends to prioritize his two forthcoming solo LPs before reuniting with Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr, and Mark Stoermer to create new music.

“I anticipate that the finest Killers record will be unveiled in 2027,” Flowers stated. Speaking to The Sun, he elaborated, “I have completed two records. One is nearly mixed, and the other will follow shortly. I am contemplating the logistical aspects of this process.”

He revealed that he worked on his solo albums in Nashville, describing it as a “departure” to keep fans intrigued. Reflecting on the interval between The Killers’ music releases, Brandon highlighted the band’s extensive touring schedule in 2022 and 2023.

In 2024, the group celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album, “Hot Fuss,” with a residency at Caesar’s Palace and the release of their greatest hits album, “Rebel Diamonds.” Despite sporadic songwriting sessions, the group is primarily focused on their upcoming projects.

Brandon previously mentioned the band’s decision to return to their rock ‘n’ roll roots rather than pursuing a synth-pop sound. He emphasized the band’s evolution over their 20-year career and the changing landscape of rock radio.

Recently, Brandon joined Dawes on stage to perform The Killers’ hit “When You Were Young” and Bruce Springsteen’s “The Promised Land” at A Concert for Altadena, dedicated to raising funds for victims of the Eaton Fire.

The event aimed to support long-term recovery efforts for individuals and entities impacted by the fire, occurring on its anniversary. Brandon’s performance was a highlight of the evening, culminating in a collaborative rendition of “The Promised Land” with the entire lineup.
