A tragic incident unfolded on Christmas Day as a two-year-old girl, Isobel Abigail Maxwell, lost her life after falling into a pond in the garden of her family home in Doncaster. Despite immediate CPR efforts by her family before the ambulance arrived, Isobel was rushed to the hospital, where her death was confirmed. The incident was reported to South Yorkshire Police by the ambulance service.
An inquest into Isobel’s death was opened and adjourned by senior coroner Nicola Mundy at Doncaster Coroner’s Court. Isobel’s father identified her, and plans for a cremation were made. The full inquest is scheduled for September 14.
