Josie Gibson, the popular host of This Morning, has impressed her fans with a remarkable transformation, shedding an impressive five stone following years of fluctuating weight due to yo-yo dieting.

The 40-year-old TV presenter is currently showcasing her best look ever after facing weight struggles over the years. Her revamped appearance on This Morning has sparked significant discussions among viewers.

Having previously fluctuated from a size 20 to a size eight in 2014, Josie openly discussed her weight journey in the past. Despite releasing workout DVDs like 30 Second Slim and Josie Gibson’s 21 Day Fat Burn, she struggled to maintain the weight loss.

After resisting weight loss injections for years, the ITV star appears to have found a successful formula to maintain her shape, as revealed on her new Channel 5 show, “The 1970s Diet: Could It Work for You?” In the show, Josie immerses herself in the 1970s diet trend to explore its potential for weight loss.

In the program, airing on Wednesday and Thursday at 9 pm, Josie follows an authentic 1970s meal plan provided by a nutritionist, involving smaller portions and foods like boiled potatoes, liver, and spam.

Josie embraced the ‘1970s diet’ on the show, mimicking the eating, drinking, and exercise habits of that era to assess its impact on weight loss. She shared her journey, expressing surprise at her fitness level despite her weight, emphasizing the importance of showcasing the full experiment.

Beyond dietary changes, Josie delves into the fashion and fitness trends of the 1970s, embracing the era’s iconic styles like flares and bold prints.

Discussing her experience on the show, Josie highlighted the unique challenges of adopting a full 1970s diet, emphasizing the intriguing differences in eating habits, exercise routines, and shopping culture compared to the present day.

Despite her significant five-stone weight loss this year, Josie clarified that she achieved it through traditional methods of exercise and diet, without resorting to weight loss procedures like injections.

Previously, Josie followed the “Do The Unthinkable” plan, a 12-week fitness and food program from MuscleFood, incorporating delivered meals, workout regimens, and guidance to support her health goals.

Sharing her approach of following the plan for six days and allowing one cheat meal, Josie advised against overindulging on cheat days to maintain progress and avoid undoing hard work.

Expressing her aversion to weight loss injections, Josie emphasized her preference for natural approaches to health and fitness, steering clear of interventions that may alter her body unnaturally.

In a candid revelation to New magazine in 2016, Josie disclosed undergoing a tummy tuck that removed excess skin, leading to a notable change in her physique post-surgery.

Josie’s journey, from battling weight fluctuations to embracing a healthier lifestyle, showcases her commitment to sustainable health practices and serves as inspiration for others on similar paths.
