In a captivating scene, a bedazzled white flared trouser leg moves with excitement while the iconic gospel-infused voice of Elvis resonates through the surroundings.

Recently unveiled images showcase The King, donning his signature white suit in Las Vegas, making his way to the stage amidst a large group, with the powerful lyrics of the Battle Hymn of the Republic echoing in the background.

Filmmaker Baz Luhrmann unearthed never-before-seen archive footage from Elvis Presley’s seven-year Las Vegas residency beginning in 1969, along with rediscovered audio capturing intimate moments of the legendary artist’s life.

This exclusive content will be featured in Luhrmann’s upcoming film EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, scheduled for release next month.

Elvis Presley, originally from Tulepo, Mississippi, would have celebrated his 90th birthday on January 8. However, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll passed away at the age of 42 due to heart failure at his Graceland residence in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1977.

Despite his untimely demise, Elvis’s popularity continues to thrive. The newly discovered visuals and recordings from his Vegas shows and 1972 North American tour are expected to draw fans to theaters worldwide.

Director Luhrmann describes the film as a unique blend of documentary and concert experience, aiming to fulfill Elvis’s dream of a global tour by bringing the archived material to audiences globally.

Elvis, known for hits like All Shook Up and iconic films such as Jailhouse Rock and Blue Hawaii, preferred studio work over extensive tours, focusing on delivering music and movies to his admirers.

EPiC will showcase rare footage, including Elvis’s legendary performances of Suspicious Minds during his Las Vegas residency, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience for fans.

The long-lost material was discovered in a Warner Bros. vault in Kansas, featuring a new video from Elvis’s 1957 concert in Hawaii. Luhrmann’s most prized discoveries were the unreleased recordings of Elvis discussing his life and passion for music.

Most of the unseen footage was initially filmed for Elvis’s concert documentaries in the early 1970s, which have been meticulously restored by Luhrmann and his team over the past two years.

With EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert set to premiere in IMAX in the UK on February 20, 2026, and a wider release on February 27, 2026, fans can anticipate an unparalleled tribute to the musical legend.
