Newly released footage reveals that a woman, identified as Renee Good, was shot three times by an ICE agent after attempting to drive around him. The video, filmed by the agent himself, captures the moments leading up to the altercation from his perspective.
In the video, Good’s car is shown partially blocking the road as the agent exits his vehicle to approach her, recording her face and license plate. Good can be heard calmly responding to the agent while another person, likely her partner, films the interaction on a phone.
During the exchange, Good mentions that they do not change their license plates daily and asserts their U.S. citizenship and veteran status. As the agent circles her car, Good reverses to make way for passing cars. A bystander outside the car tells the officer to go get lunch.
As more officers arrive, demanding Good to exit the car, she is seen turning her steering wheel to maneuver around the agent in front. The agent then fires three shots as Good’s car accelerates towards parked vehicles, with him cursing at her.
The footage, released by online news site Alpha News, contradicts previous claims by the White House and provides context to the incident. It suggests that Good may have obstructed the ICE agents’ work by parking across the road but shows no signs of aggression from her or the bystanders.
Notably, the video demonstrates that Good did not intentionally try to run over the officer but was attempting to drive around him. Shortly after the footage went public, U.S. Vice President JD Vance used it to support his claim that Good intended to harm the officer, criticizing media coverage of the incident.
