A medical professional has been apprehended for allegedly stealing shopping items valued at £2,000 from a supermarket in Jacksonville, Florida. Lindsey Jae Minshew, aged 40, was arrested in connection with the theft at a Target store. The incident came to light when an employee reported that a woman had taken merchandise worth $2,716.61 [£1,960].
Minshew, a licensed doctor in Florida since 2012, faced accusations of theft without specific details on the stolen items. Law enforcement traced a black Porsche 911 registered to Minshew, which was spotted at the store half an hour before the theft occurred. The doctor later reported the vehicle as missing a few days post the incident.
Following the report from the store employee, Minshew was detained on January 23, 2026, at Duval County Jail. She was charged with grand theft ranging from $750 to $4,999 but was released the next day.
In her professional profile on the Florida Department of Health’s website, Minshew is noted as part of the medical team at University of Miami hospital and holds a medical license in Pennsylvania. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, medical studies at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and further specialization in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.
The practitioner profile indicates no disclosed criminal offenses as of now. Minshew started her practice in 2012, and her license is valid until 2027. In Florida, medical licenses can be subject to revocation or suspension upon conviction of a crime.
