Lindsey Vonn has impressively resumed training only a month after sustaining a leg injury in a severe crash during the Winter Olympics. Vonn, aged 41, had a mishap during a downhill run in Italy shortly after tearing her cruciate ligament during practice sessions.

Following the accident, she was air-evacuated to a hospital, where she was informed of her leg fracture and subsequently underwent corrective surgery. Vonn has now updated her fans, dispelling concerns about potential leg loss.

She took to social media, sharing workout videos from the gym, displaying weightlifting activities and showcasing a video where she put weight on her injured leg.

In a post caption, Vonn expressed gratitude amidst challenges, emphasizing her sole objective of regaining health gradually through hard work. She stated, “Definitely some hard times, but still thankful… still working hard. The only goal is to get healthy. One day at a time. #icandothis.”

NBA star LeBron James extended support to Vonn, offering encouraging words in response to her situation. Vonn’s recent update follows her acknowledgment of the mental struggle accompanying her injury. In a social media post, she highlighted the mental battle she faces in addition to the physical challenges.

Reflecting on her hospital stay, Vonn revealed struggling with low hemoglobin levels from blood loss during surgeries, leading to a prolonged recovery period. Currently wheelchair-bound due to a fractured ankle, she remains optimistic about transitioning to crutches soon and beginning rehabilitation efforts gradually.
