The UK government has been revealed to have received and concealed data from experiments resembling those conducted by the Nazis on cancer patients for over five decades. An investigation uncovered the Ministry of Defence’s involvement in a secretive military research committee linked to numerous agonizing deaths.
This committee, known as The Technical Cooperation Programme, conducted defense research for the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Documents obtained through a Freedom of Information request disclosed disturbing experiments on unsuspecting civilians, including cancer patients, carried out by senior military officers from the RAF, Royal Navy, and British Army in 1969.
Emeritus professor Kevin Ruane from Canterbury Christ Church University condemned the government for accepting unethical data from these experiments, likening it to employing a hitman for immoral purposes. The research involved exposing individuals to radiation, with some subjected to gruesome treatments without their consent, resulting in severe pain and death.
The revelations shed light on the inhumane practices conducted in the name of research, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability. Campaigners and experts are calling for further investigation into these experiments to uncover the truth and bring justice to the victims.
