Millions of viewers observed a total solar eclipse on Wednesday, primarily in regions like the Arctic, Greenland, Spain, and Portugal. In other places, observers outside the path of totality witnessed a partial eclipse. Here are some notable moments from Wednesday’s solar eclipse.
In the Catalonia region of Spain, individuals watched the eclipse from the sea port of Tarragona. Meanwhile, in Berlin, the moon started to obscure the sun during the solar event.
In western Germany, at the Halde Hoheward park in Herten, a skywatcher utilized eclipse glasses to view the phenomenon. At the same time, a video feed of the eclipse was displayed on a stadium screen before the UEFA Super Cup soccer match in Salzburg, Austria.
