“Man Arrested on Firearm Charges in Rankin Inlet”

RCMP in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut have arrested a man on three firearm-related charges following reports of gunshots over the weekend. According to a press release issued on Thursday, RCMP responded to a gunshot incident at approximately 8:30 a.m. on August 9, after receiving reports of a man carrying a firearm inside a residence on 68th Street. The suspect was taken into custody by officers on the same morning and has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, improper storage of a loaded firearm, and negligent use of a firearm. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 17.
