An individual who was a runner-up on the TV show “I’m A Celebrity” has confirmed that he is deaf in one ear due to an incident from his childhood. Jordan North, a 35-year-old radio presenter, disclosed his hearing impairment during a recent podcast conversation. Speaking on the “Sh***ed, Married, Annoyed” podcast hosted by Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Jordan shared how his mother initially doubted his hearing issue.
During the podcast, Jordan’s friend and fellow podcast host, William Hanson, mentioned that he had to sit on a specific side for the conversation because of Jordan’s deafness in one ear. The hosts were surprised by this revelation and inquired about the cause. Jordan then revealed that he lost hearing in his right ear when he was around 12 or 13 years old while putting his bike away in the shed.
Despite needing a hearing aid, Jordan admitted to not wearing it. Comedian Chris found the story astonishing, expecting it to be more humorous. Jordan recounted a previous encounter with an ear specialist who disagreed with his version of events, causing Jordan to reassert his account of bursting a blood vessel out of anger.
In another recent incident, Jordan expressed feeling convinced that comedian Josh Widdicombe disliked him after an uncomfortable interaction. Hosting his Capital Breakfast show with Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Jordan revealed his long-standing belief that Josh harbored negative feelings towards him. This led to Chris and Sian devising a plan to playfully convince Jordan that Josh secretly disliked him.
During the show, clips were shown of Josh interacting warmly with others, leading to a moment where he jokingly admitted he had been asked to act unfriendly towards Jordan. The exchange lightened the atmosphere as Jordan playfully responded to the situation.
