Freeview users are advised to promptly check their settings and retune their devices following the recent update rollout by the popular UK TV platform. The update includes changes to the channel lineup and TV guide, necessitating a retune to ensure access to all channels and updated program listings.
The update introduces four main changes. That’s TV 3 on Channel 71 is now rebranded as That’s 20th Century, showcasing music from past decades and featuring iconic shows like Yes, Minister, In Sickness and in Health, and The Saint. Similarly, That’s TV 3 MCR on Channel 86 has been renamed That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR on Channel 93 is now known simply as That’s Classics.
In addition to the rebrands, a new channel, That’s Entertainment, will be available on Channel 75. While specific program listings for this channel are not widely available yet, further details are expected to be announced soon.
Freeview emphasizes that such updates are part of ongoing adjustments by broadcasters to keep content fresh and diverse. Users are encouraged to retune their devices to ensure they receive these updates on their TV planner. Instructions for retuning include pressing the menu button on the remote, navigating to settings or installation, entering the PIN if required, selecting options like “first-time installation” or “full retune,” confirming channel deletion, and allowing the device to automatically search for and store updated channels.
Although Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is considered significant, making it advisable for users to retune promptly to enjoy the latest changes.
