Carey Price is set to receive recognition at the Bell Centre, where he has dedicated his illustrious NHL career to the city of Montreal. The Montreal Canadiens revealed on Tuesday that Price will be back at the Bell Centre on November 10 to commemorate his Hall of Fame induction, scheduled for the day prior.
Price will join the esteemed ranks of the organization as the 62nd member to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Subsequently, he will be enshrined in the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, an exclusive acknowledgment for former players who have achieved greatness in the realm of hockey.
Having played his entire professional career of 15 years in Montreal, Price has amassed an impressive record through 712 games, boasting a 2.51 goals-against average and a remarkable .917 save percentage. He holds the franchise records for most games played and victories as a goaltender.
The celebration in Price’s honor will take place during a match against the Minnesota Wild. Throughout his career, Price has garnered numerous accolades, including being a seven-time all-star and being selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Montreal Canadiens will kick off their pre-season activities on September 19, with the regular season commencing on September 29 in a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
